Women
21 Apr, 2018Nepal has always been a patriarchal society. The women are always second to men in urban, semi-urban and rural communities despite good women population as compared to men. The socio-economic conditions of women make them vulnerable to domestic violence, discrimination, gender stereotyping and glass ceiling in career. Utsah Nepal aspires women to know their rights and make informed decisions, indulge in income generating activities, lead dignified lives by making equal contribution to the family through financial and social empowerment. We believes in educating men together with women to ensure gender mainstreaming. Some of the key activities of Utash Nepal for women and girls are vocational trainings, cooking classes, digital empowerment programs and fostering entrepreneurship skills.
Some of the programs are:
UTSAH MOTHERS CLUB (UMC)
- Digital empowerment for women.
- Counseling for married women and mothers.
Women Skill Development Program
- We train, empower and create employment opportunities.
