Utsah Nepal collaborates and works with community based organizations, clubs, mother groups, farmers, schools/colleges, local government offices, entrepreneurs and corporate houses.
Utsah Nepal works on two thematic areas:
1. EDUCATION:
Education is a doorway to opening avenues fostering employability skills in students. Utash Nepal aspires to advocate practical education system to replace traditional pedagogy of teaching. In doing so, it aims to narrow the gap between education and employability skills and better prepare students of both public and private schools for job market. Utash Nepal advocates and lobbies on ensuring equality in quality education for both the students from public and private schools with respective authorities. Furthermore, Utsah aims to provide trainings to teachers, practical education to students, build infrastructure such as clean toilets, table tennis board and libraries.
Some of our initiatives include:
i. Leadership and Public Speaking Training.
ii. Collecting books and Stationeries for public and community based schools/colleges.
iii. Conducting events, workshops and conferences.
iv. Organizing competition and Running training programs.
vi. Building libraries for public and community schools and colleges.
2. WOMEN:
Nepal has always been a patriarchal society. The women are always second to men in urban, semi-urban and rural communities despite good women population as compared to men. The socio-economic conditions of women make them vulnerable to domestic violence, discrimination, gender stereotyping and glass ceiling in career. Utsah Nepal aspires women to know their rights and make informed decisions, indulge in income generating activities, lead dignified lives by making equal contribution to the family through financial and social empowerment. We believes in educating men together with women to ensure gender mainstreaming. Some of the key activities of Utash Nepal for women and girls are vocational trainings, cooking classes, digital empowerment programs and fostering entrepreneurship skills.
Some of the programs are:
i. UTSAH MOTHERS CLUB (UMC)
– Digital empowerment for women.
– Counseling for married women and mothers.
ii. Women Skill Development Program
– We train, empower and create employment opportunities.
iii. UTSAAH PRODUCT
UTSAAH PRODUCT was launched in 2017 as economic venture of Utsah Nepal to
market the product made by members of Utsaah Mothers Club.
